OBJETIVO

The Brooklyn Tower rises from the native geometries of the borough to become a powerful new symbol for the city. The inspiration for its form is derived from the hexagonal composition of the historic Dime Savings Bank. The bank’s dramatic landmarked interior will be restored and incorporated into the publicly accessible programming of the new development. Topping out at 1,066 feet, it is the tallest building in Brooklyn. The timeless design of the 93-story tower is accented with a material palette selected to evoke the bank’s rich City Beautiful detailing. Ranging from a marble white to fully blackened through shades of bronze and copper, the facade elements are deployed in a wide variety of shapes to provide an expression that is at once welcoming and mysterious, seriously dramatic and extravagantly playful.
