OBJETIVO

The work was conceived as an object that links and generates links with the blocks next to it, as a vehicle of union between different urban situations. From a very simple operation, the addition of the volume -which sought to adapt to the existing physical conditions- is the result of the maximum exploitation of the usable soil after the application of the obligatory removals and the excess floor of the existing warehouse. From its conception, the work seeks to answer a series of questions and objectives. How should the new implementation relate to the shape of the adjacent blocks and the surroundings? How to generate a work visual and perceptual link of people inside and outside it? How to generate an architectural piece where the vacuum of the same generate tension as does the built mass? To respond to these premises, from the contrasting contextual conditions, we sought to link the work physically with the public space of the path and visually with the street maintaining a material and visual continuity through the exploration of a series of material definitions that generate different degrees of privacy from and to the work.

CONTEXTO

In a predominantly residential neighborhood of low density housing, industries, large businesses and warehouses, the extension of the existing building had to be adapted to a particular corner plot with trapezoidal rectangle geometry to which a mandatory 10-meter withdrawal had to be applied on a municipal line according to the regulations applied to the fast vehicular circulation corridor that crosses the city of Rosario in the SO-NE direction in which it is located (Pte. Juan Domingo Perón Avenue). This avenue is a continuation of National Route 33 and is very close to the bypass avenue, which, until approximately 10 years ago, functioned as a peripheral ring to the city due to the growth of the great Rosario to the South and the West, this finally ended up transforming into a seam of this new configuration. That is why, from the situation described, it was necessary to link the work with the context, always maintaining a unity and visual and material continuity both with the nearby public space maintaining the domestic condition given by the residential use of experiencing the neighborhood and the path as also with the street and its fast, constant and changing use given by the passage of vehicles of small, medium and large size that use this road to enter and leave the city.

ACTUACIÓN

Generate visual, physical and perceptual relationships from within the work to the interior of the work, from the inside to the outside and from the outside to the outside". For this, different material and technical resources were explored, seeking different degrees of privacy through immediate visuals on the ground floor where the existing deposit and reception and extensive visuals to the territory are located on the top floor from the offices and meeting room. In the urban plinth, for the conformation of the external closures, as in the whole of the cladding, corrugated sheets pre painted gray ash with a previous process of microperforation that allowed a continuous air flow, a clear inner-outer transparency and were used. a successful long-distance visual opacity from the avenue. The programmatic volume is materialized entirely of phenolic multilaminated wood boards of 18mm eucalyptus that gives it the necessary warmth for the daily work, contrasting with the cold industrial and functional nature of the existing shed. On the ground floor, the necessarily watertight administration located 2 meters behind the microperforate is delimited only by an imperceptible carpentry that allows a visually continuous ground floor. Upstairs the offices visually open to the outside by means of laminated glass 5 + 5mm, at a distance and during the day, thanks to the solar reflection returns the image of the immediate landscape but allow observing the materialization of the interior at close range from the sidewalk or from the avenue at night.
